Social Mapping


In early January I wrote an article about The Conversation. My diagram was based on the Conversation Prism idea by Brian Solis (http://theconversationprism.com/blog/). I recently noticed an article written in March on the same blog which was called Creating a Social Map.

The mapping technique is similar to what we use to map whole communities.

‘Plan your dive and dive your plan’ is not only true is scuba. Understanding your environment is equally true when engaging in B2B conversation marketing. Without seeing the community as a whole and understanding the the powers of influence within the community social engagement is a half hearted effort. Often for such organizations strategy is the sum of their social tactics.
